We’ve been hearing rumors for the past few weeks claiming that the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean will soon be rolled out for the LG Optimus G. Today, I’m not sure if it’s just coincidence or what – users of the Sprint’s Optimus G have posted on the xda-developers forum that they’ve receive the 474 MB software update from Sprint. Apparently, this update will bring a new lock screen, a new customizable lock screen, as well as a new notifications field and some other new features to the Optimus G.
So if you’ve yet to receive the update notification, you can go to Settings > About phone > System software updates and manually check for the update. Since this update has yet to be officially announced, you don’t have to worry if you still do not receive the update for the next few days.
In the mean time, stay with us for more updates!
